They are drawing on the power of Unreal Engine 5 to take storytelling to the next level, in the biggest, most expansive Tomb Raider game to date. It will include all the elements that have made Tomb Raider one of the most revered franchises in gaming, giving players control of the confident and multi-dimensional hero Lara Croft in an environment that rewards exploration and creative pathfinding, with mind-bending puzzles to solve, and a wide variety of enemies to face and overcome. The currently untitled game is planned to be a single-player, narrative-driven adventure that continues Lara Croft’s story.

Looking forward to completing this title and as with older titles, definitely see replayability.Amazon Games has officially announced that they reached an agreement with Crystal Dynamics in which they will develop a new multi-platform Tomb Raider title! With Crystal Dynamics focusing on the game’s actual development and Amazon Games focusing on providing full support and publishing the game globally, this is definitely some good news! But that is not taking away from the game itself. One very minor issue (though may be still do to near maxed-out settings) is sound (speaking) seems slightly out-of-sync with player’s mouths. I did add alternate keys though for general movement (arrows) to match what I had in earlier titles. Gameplay is great and most of the learned movements from the previous title all work as expected. Lara’s movements are now richer as well (more variety). I really like the transparencies in the ice.

Character realism has improved and the 3D models are much smoother (you see less traces of simple polygons especially in rounded surfaces). Graphic content itself has really improved over earlier titles (as expected). You can really understand what about the image is improving.

Speaking of which, really nice to see the screen dynamically update while you change settings. Only a couple spots stuttered, so lowered a few settings.

I maxed out the graphics settings and ran at a full 5120 x 2880 resolution on my Windows Pro with Vega 56 GPU. And glad that the title is indeed a 64-bit application for enjoyment for years to come. Very pleased that I can continue to explore the worlds of Lara Croft on the Windows.
